Description
There is something irresistibly American about a picket fence, and this one revives the form with fresh-cut warmth. Pale, newly milled pickets line up beneath a wide Midwestern sky, their gently rounded tops catching the autumn sun in pale gold while clouds drift lazily overhead. The design strikes a quiet balance—close enough spacing to define and contain, generous enough to keep the yard feeling open and neighborly, never walled off from the rolling green beyond. A gracefully arched gate marks the entrance with subtle ceremony, its black ornamental hinges providing a crisp, intentional counterpoint to all that blond wood, while a bed of smooth river stone guides the path to the door with understated polish. Set against crisp siding and the easy sprawl of the surrounding lots, it is the kind of fence that does its work without raising its voice: charming, durable, and built to weather many seasons into a graceful silver-gray.
